Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer

Hi y'all!

I've been gone for a week due to my assignments and tests. I'm back now with another review of a Korean brand; Innisfree.

I assume this is the improved formula of the previous primer released under the name "No Sebum Mineral Primer." I've bought this since my Benefit Porefessional has almost finished. I realized I like thick, paste like primer more than the watery formulation simply because I have an extremely oily complexion and I think dry formulation suits me better. This retails for RM40 or 46 at my local Innisfree store.

The primer claim to control sebum secretion, blurring the pores and comfortable on the skin. Simple packaging yet packed with information. The flexible plastic tube makes it easy for me to squeeze every single ounce out of it once it's almost empty.

The opening has a pointy tip to ensure control of product dispense.

I am impressed at how much alike both primers look on the skin. They are extremely similar in term of appearance and texture. The only difference is that the Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer has a herbal scent (typical Innisfree scent) while Benefit Porefessional has a fresh synthetic scent.

I squeezed out too much for the swatch and the blur primer is balling up when I blend it out. Hence, it's better to apply a small amount first and layer only where needed. Plus, this kind of primer works best when applied on areas with large pores or where you easily get oily.

I can't see any difference between the Porefessional and Innisfree blur primer

DUPE ALERT!

Fresh applied 830AM

Lunch time 130PM

I get oily no matter how humid or dry my environment is. In this case, I was sitting in an air-conditioned room. The blur primer works wonderfully. It cover my pores and sits comfortably on the skin. It doesn't feel heavy and I didn't feel greasy at all. However I do get oily on my nose and cheeks after some time.

This is a great primer for anyone on a budget or suffers enlarge pores (like me!). I'm delighted I've picked this up over the expensive ones at Sephora. Since Innisfree is a consumer friendly brand, their product also contain zero parabens.

I've posted a new video on my youtube channel. Feel free to watch it down below or visit my channel :)

Innisfree Smart Foundation | Perfect Cover and Water Balancing

Hi earthlings!

I recently purchased these foundations because I was curious about the whole "smart foundation" concept. This was released back in 2014 in THIS post I've made. There were four types of foundation; perfect cover, water balancing, super moisture and long lasting. There's also a smart blender which can be mixed with the foundations.

Each of it comes in a small 15 ml tube with justification that our skin changes with the season and we need to adjust the makeup base according to our current skin condition. Hence most foundations remain unfinished or unused during those time. By providing a small tube, foundation wastage is minimized and can be used up quickly.

Smart, right? ;)

innisfree smart foundation water balancing perfect cover

Both comes in a basic grayish squeeze tube.

Both are in the shade 23 True Beige. These are perfect for my skin tone. I'm usually using the darkest shade available in Korean BB cream/foundation.

It has pointy opening that enable more control over the product dispense.

The color translate identically in the picture. However it does have a minuscule color difference with the naked eyes.

Water balancing is a tad thinner with a watery consistency while perfect cover is thicker.
Both have the Innisfree signature herbal scent but I find it milder than the Serum CC Cream.

Water balancing

This feels like nothing on the skin. It leaves a slight tackiness that is completely gone after powder. I would say it gives sheer coverage but did a great job at correcting my uneven skin tone. I bought this because I have a dehydrated oily skin and it seem to suits my skin perfectly. It transfers easily before powder so I would recommend you to set it with powder immediately. You're good to go after that.

Perfect Cover

This is nothing like its claim. My rosacea is still peeking through after application, much more my reddish acne scar. It also feels heavier than Water Balancing but it sits comfortably on my skin. I'm pretty sure I put more of this compared to the latter but it gives equal coverage = sheer coverage.

Overall, my preference is skewed towards the Water balancing and I would definitely wear this for the no-makeup look. Both works fine with oily skin and it all comes down to your preferences. It can be purchased locally with a cheap price tag. I bought mine for RM30 including postage.

Its definitely not a mind blowing product but it'll be a good start for makeup beginners. :)

February 2016 Favorites (Maybelline,Innisfree,NYX,etc)

Hello earthlings!

My February favs are all about rediscovering old items that REALLY performs well. I haven't bought anything new for this year because I'm currently saving some cash. So I use whatever I have which let's be honest, I have way more than a normal person should have haha.

Etude House Face Conditioning Cream (Original Version)

I've ran out of my regular sunscreen so I've been using this one as a substitute since it has SPF25/PA+++. Its quite low but better than nothing! Normally I also use it alone whenever I'm not in the mood to wear makeup. It does not really do anything other than UV protection, in fact I don't understand the purpose of this cream. I'm guessing its a makeup base. A little reminder, this is unsuitable for oily skin because of its heavy and thick texture which also makes it a bit sticky/shiny on the skin.

Etude House Beauty Shot Face Blur

Trust me, 'face blur' is just a fancy term for PRIMER. Its texture is thin and lightweight, kind of like a liquified silicone. I thought this was a gimmick product but I was amazed when I tried it. I'm loving the fact that this do blur my pores and my makeup stays on longer. Plus the scent reminds me of baby lotion, it brings back nostalgic feelings. This has easily become my favorite primer of all time.

Maybelline Fit Me! Matte and Poreless Foundation

I reach for this when I want a foolproof good skin day. This can never go wrong. It does not feel heavy, it does cover my pores without primer and its finish is not too matte yet not too glossy for my liking. Its not tacky and it blends like a dream with the brush or damp sponge. This is a legit wonderful foundation for daily usage. If you have oily skin, you need this in your life!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer

This is also my all time favorite item! It brighten up my undereyes immensely. Its a bit thick and I prefer blending it with a damp sponge. Its also a little drying if I were to compare it with the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer. It really lasts once its set. It does not budge and crease. The price point is what makes it sooooo worth it. Its so affordable and yet it works like magic.

Innisfree No Sebum Mineral Pact

You can tell by its packaging that I use it a lot LOL. Its convenient to travel with due to its small size. Its perfect to set the face, undereyes and it also act as a mattifying powder because its finely milled texture. It feels so soft on the skin! The downside is that it can give white cast if used excessively so always keep that in mind.

 Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara

I got this when I bought the Tarte Christmas Holiday Collection. There's nothing special with this mascara but I keep on reaching for it. Its wet formula makes it heavy and it cannot hold my curls. But I love the volume it gives and it does not smudge on my oily lids. I would not repurchase this once it dried up. Personally, I'm still on the quest to find my ultimate favorite mascara.

NYX Eyebrow Cake Powder

Of all eyebrow product, I love the powder formula the most because its easy to blend and dark enough for my black eyebrows. Sometimes pencil or twistable eyebrow pencil slip and slide on my brows probably due to the fact that I'm oily all over my face -____- Needless to say, the NYX eyebrow cake powder is affordable while doing wonders to my eyebrows. If I accidentally over applied (in which I always do), I can easily blend it with a spooly. I always have an option to go with a natural or fleeky brows with this product and that's just make me love it even more.

NYX Tinted Eyebrow Gel

I use this when I want my brows to look extra polished. I find that this gel is rather chunky and once deposited, its quite difficult to blend it. The trick is to use a LIGHT HAND with it. Its basically brushing lightly on the brow hairs without putting any pressure on the handle. It takes a bit practice but once I've mastered it, I thoroughly enjoy using it.

Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm

I wore this a ton and its still going strong! I have a weird pale lips and I look sick whenever I don't wear makeup so I always put on a tinted lip balm just to bring the life back into my expression. Its quite thick and sticky but I'm used to it that I keep on using it. Its also the only lip balm I own at the moment. It does moisturize my lips and this really helps because I tend to breath using my mouth unconsciously so my lips are prone to dryness.

Wearing my Feb favs ;)

So that's it guys. I really hope you find my post helpful and I'll see you next time!

Take care! XOXO

☁ October 2014 Collective Haul ☁

Hello muffins!

I have bought some of the most popular products or at least raved by bloggers in the blogosphere.I was a bit out of date in getting my hand on them because i was on a tight budget before. T___T

Luckily,I have Carousell as my saviour. :) All of them was a lot cheaper than the retail price, even cheaper than the online price. But here's the catch, its cheap because its preloved or somewhat has a little damage on them. In my case, all of it were relatively new except the Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation which nevertheless in uber good condition.

☂ Innisfree Smart Foundation Collection ☂

Hello everyone!

Today,i come across this new foundation by Innisfree when i was watching Pony's makeup tutorial. It is called the Smart Foundation. So i went to Innisfree official website to take a look at this new collection.

This collection include 4 different types of foundation with 3 available shades on each categories. There is also a product called Smart Makeup Blender which helps the foundation to blend easily especially for thick foundations.

The idea of this variety of foundation type is that our skin changes according to the season/weather,so some of us ended throwing away foundations since it doesn't match one's current skin condition. Thus,Innisfree came with this collection which claim to suits all type of skin condition.

Another interesting point is that these foundations come in a small 15ml tube.Since the season pass by quickly,Innisfree use a smaller volume to prevent wastage of product.I can relate to this reason since i never finish up even one tube of my BB cream,i always ended up selling them when i got bored of 'em.I mean i love a 50ml product since i get more content but to finish 5 tubes of 50ml BB cream is nearly impossible LOL.

The price is also very reasonable.Innisfree is selling this 6000 KRW = 19.00 MYR while Kpoptown is also selling this for ~19.90 MYR.So far, only kpoptown started selling this products.

Innisfree Serum CC Cream (Coverage) Review

Bello!

Currently im seriously hooked with CC creams.I buy too much CC's and it dont seem to end anytime soon kekeke.

One of my recent purchase is Innisfree Serum CC.This is my first Innisfree purchase and im so excited lols. This is the latest version of their CC's.I believe the first one was Real Skin CC Cream but i've never compelled to try it.

So when this CC was released,i googled it and failed to find any reviews.Hence why i decided to buy this.Plus,i purposely buy the 'cover' CC instead of the 'brightening' CC to see how good the 'cover' works. :)
