Maybelline Fit Me Concealer 10 Light

Hi earthlings!

I recently purchased one of the drugstore cult favorite concealer. This is unavailable in Malaysia and the only way to purchase it is online. I purchased mine through Carousell for RM30 (w/o postage). 

Initially, I have the hardest time to select the correct shade for my skin tone. I wanted to purchase the shade 20 Sand but after seeing the swatches comparison, I decided to go with 10 Light instead. Still it was a difficult decision because different swatches have different lighting. 

I was surprised to see such small doe foot applicator. I honestly think its kinda adorable LOL. I noticed that it doesn't pick up too much product in one dip. Which is a good thing because ain't nobody want a cakey undereyes.

 A concealer review is not complete without a demo, right?

Foundation on, bare undereyes.

Concealer dotted on the orbital bone.

Upon application, I find that the shade is misleading. It is not as fair as I thought it would be. Its basically the same shade as my foundation.

Do not be fooled by the camera. The naked eyes will see a warm peach undertone while in the camera it looks like it has a yellow tone.

Before powder.

Once blended, it must be set immediately with powder. It creases so fast and accentuates the lines under my eyes D: I barely have time to put down the sponge and it already settle in my undereyes line. On the other hand, it doesn't accentuate the dryness under my eyes due to its hydrating texture.

I have to bake my undereyes when using this. Otherwise it WILL crease.

It is incredibly similar to the Collection Lasting Concealer in 02 Cool Medium.

This is the main reason I choose the shade Light instead of Sand. Cool Medium is my perfect shade and it can never go wrong.

However the consistency is considerably different. The Maybelline Fit Me has a thinner texture and less peach-ier than the Collection concealer. But both of them are still in the same colour spectrum. 

Overall, I think its a lighweight, medium coverage concealer. Its great for an everyday use but it needs to be set properly to prevent creasing. :)

This is a splurge.

I always went into Sephora and left without buying anything because I just cant decide what to buy. I've had a few items in my mind such as the Too Faced Chocolate Bar and Bare Minerals Serum Foundation but they were just out of my budget.

So I opt for a cheaper (yet still expensive) product which is this concealer. I've seen Kathleen Lights and Jaclyn Hill raved about this concealer,which is the sole reason why I chose to buy it. The power of influence and recommendation guys.

Today i want to talk about a concealer that i've been obsessed with recently.I've been on a hunt for this product since it was sold out in most of the drugstore that carry this brand.This baby has received numerous praises from Youtubers around the world. Yassss Youtube made me buy this!

So i went to Bangsar for lunch with my boyfriend and we decided to visit the F Block store nearby.Surprise surprise,the store has Collection cosmetics on display.Even better,there's plenty of concealer tubes available! I didn't hesitate at all,i grabbed it right away. Thank you F Block! :)

I have finally got this concealer palette which i've been eyeing on for a loooooong time.This is darn cheap in ebay (3-4 $) but since i don't have paypal,i have to find this locally.There's plenty of online shop selling this palette with different price tag.But most of it in the range of 20-35 MYR.I got mine for 25 MYR with free postage.

I've read countless reviews on this concealer,even watched demo's video in Youtube.Almost everyone of them recommend this palette because of the creamy texture and good coverage.Not to mention the super cheap price.

But what's my take on this palette?

I picked up this baby during my last food hunting trip to Penang.It was sold at Sephora Queensbay Mall for 30 MYR if im not mistaken.I tried using the tester on my very own dark circles (ain't got time to wear makeup when you're traveling) and i was surprised on how well it matches my skintone. So i bought this and i've been using it ever since!

This is different than the Concealer In A Jar.That concealer is more to covering blemishes and redness on the skin.While this one is exclusive for the under eye area since it contained coconut oil,china clay and orange pigment.

Another baby i got during the Christmas sale last year.And my aunt bought this for me (Kudos to my aunt!!) Get It Beauty featured The Faceshop Duo Concealer as the best concealer voted by the 'better girls'.I thought this is the concealer they were talking about.Turned out i was wrong,the one that was featured was from another line T__T whatever.

Concealer Palette

Recently,i kind of get into makeup palettes.I feel like i have too much input but lack of hands on experience.Using palettes will be more convenient and cheaper for a beginner like me.So,i've been head hunting online sites that sell makeup palettes.I can say i have found the shop and im about to purchase. :)

My priority is to conceal my dark circles.It has gone worse ever since the examination month.I've tried any concealer that i could afford,I've also did my research on how to counteract my dark circles with the concealer tone but so far no luck. :(

Im hoping that by purchasing a concealer/corrector palette i will be able to experiment with my dark circles,sees which tone works best for me.It looks something like this.

My last paper is tomorrow and im planning to buy this while im still in KL since the postage fee will be higher to west malaysia :/ Wish me luck!
